Cal Hanks Receives Honorable Mention for the StatSheet Big Sky Sixth Man of the Week - February 4th, 2013

Montana's Will Cherry has earned the StatSheet Big Sky Player of the Week for the week ending February 4th. Joel Bolomboy from Weber State has earned StatSheet's Big Sky Freshman of the Week. Also, Montana State's Antonio Biglow is the StatSheet Big Sky 6th Man of the Week.

Cherry finished first in the Big Sky in assists (6.5 per game). He also had 50% shooting, 14.5 points per game, and 6.5 rebounds per game. The Montana senior put these numbers up in wins versus Portland State and Eastern Washington.

Cherry led the Grizzlies in scoring and rebounding with 16 points and 7 rebounds in an 81-68 win over Portland State. He followed that up by leading the team in scoring with 13 points plus an additional 7 assists in a 65-46 victory against Eastern Washington.

This is the first StatSheet Big Sky Player of the Week award for Will Cherry. However, he has come in second once. The runner-up this week is Frank Otis, a senior from Weber State. Honorable mention goes to Weber State junior Davion Berry. The highest ranking player from Southern Utah was Damon Heuir who finished fifth.

StatSheet Big Sky Freshman of the Week: Weber State's Joel Bolomboy

Joel Bolomboy averaged 18 minutes as a starter for Weber State. In a 66-51 win over North Dakota, Bolomboy rang up 9 rebounds and 3 blocked shots. Following that in a massive 85-64 win against Northern Colorado, he totaled 7 points and 8 rebounds.

Joel Bolomboy has won the StatSheet Big Sky Freshman of the Week an astounding 3 times. Thomas Reuter from Eastern Washington gets runner-up. Honorable mention goes to Cody Demps from Sacramento State.

StatSheet Big Sky 6th Man of the Week: Montana State's Antonio Biglow

Antonio Biglow, a junior and a 6-0 guard, averaged 24 minutes over two games for the Bobcats. In a 72-68 loss to Eastern Washington, Biglow put up 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Then in a 70-64 victory against Portland State, he racked up 12 points and 7 assists.

This is the first StatSheet Big Sky 6th Man of the Week honor for Antonio Biglow. Paul Garnica, a junior guard from Northern Colorado, is runner up. Our own Cal Hanks earns honorable mention. Southern Utah has one StatSheet Big Sky Player of the Week win this season.
